The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:6 & 7) ............ For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89).............. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalm 138:2)................ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16) ................ Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (Proverbs 30:5)

THE TRIAL

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:8
The Bible is the best legal work ever produced. All civilized countries owe their legal sanity to it. And when any country divorces itself from its basic statutes, that nation goes to hell. Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.

Whether you have thought of it or not, should not the Judge of all the earth know something about the law.

The following legal terms are found in the Bible: atonement, reconciliation, propitiation, restitution, offence, sentence, justification, law, judgement, guilty, innocent, righteous, crime, court, criminal, condemnation, witness, justice, evidence, bribe, bond, swear, oath, truth, circuit, appeal, jailor, creditors, bondman, release, ransom, will, testament, remission, covenant, ordinances, redemption, commandments, testator, mediator, adoption, advocate, trial, ward, prison, higher court, lawyer, examine, defense, hearing, book of the law, charge, punishment, wit, dismissed, contempt, judgement seat, perjury, pardon, title, bill, divorcement, breach, annul, testify, decreed, license, estate, damnation, mercy, trespass, violate, custody, sue, default, adjure, recompense, death sentence and many more.

For what we see in our court system is just a glimpse of the judgement of God. However, our courts many times let the guilty go and condemn the innocent and without slander crooked judges and advocates are sprinkled though out.

But in heaven there is a totally righteous Judge and a self-sacrificing advocate.

If you are a Christian then Jesus Christ is your advocate, who already paid the penalty for your crimes of breaking God's Law. You can not be found guilty and punished for that would be double jeopardy.

If The Lord Jesus is not your advocate, then he will be your judge. There will be no plea bargaining the full extent of the law will be carry out against you in hell.

THE TRIAL

The bar is open above the great deep ignored by man this tide that sweeps

Soon to be judged at the great throne, the damned must face it, face it alone

Pomp maters little, title or degree no excuses accepted, no ransom to free

Cry out in earnest, anguish and lament you have refused the Saviour, your only defense

All will come forward arise and stand still the sentence is read, it will be fulfilled

To late to undo rejection or denial the mallet is struck and so ends the trial

Wm. West

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

(Heb. 9:27)
