DISCIPLES OF NOAH
Some people are always stuck in the past. Some swear by Acts 2:38 to get you through the pearly white gates. They can't tell the difference between getting wet and getting saved. They won't mind drowning by Acts 2:38 but they won't practise Acts 2:42-47. Too bad the temple in Jerusalem is no longer standing and they can't observe Pentecost all over again. You may simply dismiss these nutcases knowing and believing in the all-sufficient atoning work accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ.
However, you will probably not believe that there are people stuck in the past so far back in time that they believe Noah's mode of salvation is still applicable. Do you believe there are people building an ark hoping they won't get drowned? You may think fallen men having escaped Noah's flood have progressed to Babel but these people apparently have not leaved the ark yet! Perhaps the 2004 Tsunami that took a quarter million lives scares some so badly that they will try anything just to stay alive. So finally, Noah got some disciples outside of his own immediate family....
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1 Peter 3:20
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth:
and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
