The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:6 & 7) ............ For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89).............. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalm 138:2)................ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16) ................ Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (Proverbs 30:5)

BIBLE STUDY NOTES

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

Born again Christians are supposed to be diligent Bible students. God did not write the Holy Bible and preserve His words so that Christians from time to time, when they feel like it, may just read a portion here and there to find out a little what God has to say. Bible study is a life long work for a child of God. The commandment to study the words of God is not given to some elite Christians who aspire to be ministers. Every child of God has a duty to study God's words. The words of God are like letters the Lover of our souls writes to His beloved Bride, the Church, the Body of Christ. Being members of the Church of the living God, Christians should learn to emulate those Christians in Berea who searched the Scriptures daily as revealed to us in Acts 17:11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Indeed those believers were more noble than others and we would do well to be like them receiving the words of God with all readiness of mind and searching the Scriptures daily to see whether those things were so as we listen to sermons and learning from others.

The materials here are the personal study notes of the author who does not profess to be absolutely correct in understanding the Holy Scriptures. Hence his notes are not infallible. Only the words of the living God are given by inspiration and hence pure, inerrant and infallible in every aspect of the revelation of God's will and His acts on earth to redeem fallen men from bondage of sin. May the Lord bless those who aspire to be noble in the pursuit of holiness through the reading and studying of the Holy Scriptures of the living God!
