Fantastic Trip

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7)

These questions were asked by God and Job had no answer. None of us would be able to answer anyway.

With technology in our days, perhaps we can have a little glimpse of God’s wondrous creation right now.

A brother sent me this file.

Ever wonder what it is like to look at planet earth from far away heaven? Or look into the deepest innermost recess of a creature?

Psalms 8
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)

Preservation of God’s Words

Those who don’t believe God has preserved His holy words in the Authorized King James Bible often demand to know where are God’s words before 1611.

They are not asking this question in order to find out where are God’s words before or after 1611. They ask this question in order to justify their unbelief that God has preserved for us His words today in English for the English speaking world.

They ask this question in order avail themselves to be the final authority to decide which are God’s words among the hundreds of bible versions available in the market.

They ask such question in order to elevate themselves to be the authority hiding behind Greek and Hebrew to tell us what God’s words really meant.

You could also become one such authority if you consciously choose to do so and become highly respectable in the Christian circle or perhaps circus where these days not many really care about the veracity of the words of the living God.

One trick these self-conceited authorities used to justify their high lofty position is the claim that they believe in the inspired originals. They expect everyone is so stupid to believe that there is such a Bible where all the 66 copies of the original autographs were ever put together as a complete perfect Holy Bible.

Of course they can’t show us where such a Bible exists. The essence of such a stance on the inspired originals, knowing full well no one has ever seen them nor ever will, they will then decide for you which are God’s words and which are not.

Then some would tell you what the Greek and Hebrew from some uninspired originals really meant. Such deceitful self-promotion is the norm in Christendom these days.

We just don’t have the time to entertain such self-conceited pseudo authorities.

Proverb 26:4: Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

For some thoughts on the preservation of the words of God, check out an excellent article written by brother Will Kinney.

Earliest Animal Life on Earth could be a Sea Sponge

Here is the latest piece of science from MIT:

Title for ‘Earth’s first animal’ likely goes to simple sea creature

So this is the latest findings and of course, from top brains in the world.

Here is the closing paragraph of the article.

“This brings up all these new questions: What did these organisms look like? What was the environment like? And why is there this big gap in the fossil record?” Gold says. “This goes to show how much we still don’t know about early animal life, how many discoveries there are left, and how useful, when done properly, these molecular fossils can be to help fill in those gaps.”

At the end of the day, there is still no certainty and no conclusion.

This is to be expected when God is removed from the equation in their studies. There are observable facts out there that could be known.

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. (Isaiah 45:12)

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:18)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:18-22)

Well, rejection of revealed truths leads to vain imagination and thereby foolish heart is darkened and so this keeps them rummaging in the dark for truths. This is what the scripture has to say about those who are unable to know the truth.

2 Timothy 3:7: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Clearly there is no hope of finding truth when God is never in the thoughts of man.

Christians are clearly admonished to reject false science to prevent their minds from being corrupted and doubt the words of the living God.

1 Timothy 6:20: O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

So the next time when whales beached themselves, these scientists should just wait around to observe the process of evolution that should take place any moment. Bucket loads of popcorn won’t be sufficient to keep them going!

An Atheist’s View on Pursuit of Happiness

Sorrows and pains are often part and parcel for many people living in this fallen sin cursed world. People respond differently to adversity.

Some take trials and tribulations in their stride and emerge stronger while others collapse and end in tragedy.

The recent death of a young man at his training camp who was depressed due to troubles in the family is a reminder of the frailty in this life.

NS Recruit Dies Three Days After Enlistment

While we observed such tragedies and adversities people face in their daily lives, the observation made by Dr. Lee Wei Ling is noteworthy.

She observed her colleagues having come to terms with their mentally challenged child and how their faith in the Christian God helped them overcome adversity in lives.

She remarked how as an atheist she might cope with misfortunes and her emotional response would depend on how she views her situation. She talked about being stoic philosophically might help overcome adversity in life.

She then questioned whether it was wise to consider the American’s ideal of pursuit of happiness as an inalienable right. As an Adj Professor and Senior Advisor to the National Neuroscience Institute, she must have seen countless cases of misfortunes in humanity. Hence she commented that sometimes it was not easy to be happy.

She is right!

Job 5:7: Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

Job 14:1: Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

She saw many truths in this life and there was no answer to the many problems man has to face. She also realized that wealth on its own won’t bring happiness and as such, she won’t use Chinese New Year greetings “Gong Xi Fa Cai” because she understood this meant to wish that person to gain great wealth. She commented that accumulating wealth is an endless pursuit in self-gratification with no meaningful purpose in life.

She is spot on again!

Psalms 62:10: Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

Proverb 23:5: Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Proverb 27:24: For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

Below are her closing thoughts.

Happiness, in whatever form one sees it, becomes more elusive the harder one tries to pursue it. That’s why my personal aim is much more realistic: All I ask for is calmness and contentment. These at least are partially within my control.

I don’t believe pursuing happiness is an effective way to achieve happiness. By behaving well, and by helping our fellow humans negotiate the obstacles that are part of life are more effective ways to become happy. Doing so will make the people around us happy as well. There is nothing profound in this, but sometimes simple solutions can achieve what complex thought cannot.

She is right on the money again!

Proverb 11:25: The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

1 Timothy 6:6: But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Sometimes, an atheist talks more sense than any superficial Christian on the street.

Isn’t it ironical that sometimes, atheist could be practising Christian in philosophy and outlook in life while Christians could be practising atheist in their manner of life?

What Dr. Lee probably wasn’t aware of is that her philosophy with regard to overcoming adversity has a biblical basis.

The Bible warns against the madness in meaningless pursuit of wealth.

Ecclesiastes 5:10: He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Luke 12:15: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

The Bible commands Christians to practise self-denial.

1 Timothy 6:17: Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

The Bible exhorts Christians to be content.

Philippians 4:11: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

1 Timothy 6:8: And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Hebrews 13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The Bible teaches Christians to live by faith and trust in the Lord.

Romans 12:12: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Philippians 4:19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Proverb 16:20: He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

So now you might wonder why some Christians are always unhappy! They fail to heed scriptural admonition.

John 16:33: These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Proverb 3:13: Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Proverb 14:21: He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

Hence, the pursuit of happiness seen through the lens of this atheist is more insightful than average Christians who seldom read the scriptures and apply scriptural truths in their lives

Here is the article More to Life than the Pursuit of Happiness

My desire for Dr. Lee is to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ who alone can give her true inner peace.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Perversion of Justice

Is there justice on earth always? Not always the case.

It was so bad during the times in Israel under king Manasseh that God was determined to remove the Jews from their homeland.

Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon. (2 Kings 24:3-4)

Late last year, Donald E Gate was cleared of crimes he did not commit after spending 27 years in jail.

He was framed for rape and murder and imprisoned 27 years.

This was what he said after being exonerated.

“It feels like the God of the King James Bible is real, and he answered my prayers,”

Here is the story from Washington Post.

DC Police framed man imprisoned for 27 years.

Someone must have ministered to him while he was in prison.

Glory to God!

If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they. (Ecclesiastes 5:8)

Why God was Angry with Balaam?

Numbers 22:20-31

And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall: and he smote her again.
And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.

This is one very intriguing passage from the Bible where God was angry with Balaam and was ready to kill him but got the ass Balaam was riding to rebuke him with man’s voice.

Diligent Bible students have no trouble understanding why Balaam was stopped and rebuked.

2 Peter 2:15-16
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

According to the Apostle Peter, iniquity was found in Balaam and if we read the passage in Numbers 22 carefully, we would have no trouble coming to the right conclusion of the whole matter.

Anyway, brother Will Kinney has a good article on this passage and he shows why the modern perversions are adding to the confusion on the issue.

So if you are using the wrong bible, you might not get the truth from the Holy Bible. Read this article for more details.

Why God was angry with Balaam?

Kings of the East Heading for Middle East

While the nations in Middle East are being reorganized with Russia now putting its feet down in Syria, the first train from China has arrived in Tehran, Iran.

China’s President Xi Jinping is one step closer to realizing his new silk-road initiatives.

First Chinese Train Arrives in Tehran to Revive Silk Road

Silk Road Revival as Chinese Cargo Train Arrives in Iran

Prophetically, the show scripts written in Ezekiel 38 will commence anytime soon.

The kings of the east are being prepared according to scriptures.

Revelations 16:12: And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

With more trains trips from Shanghai to Tehran becoming a regular feature, this opens up new opportunities for mass movement of people from the East to the Middle East not limiting to terminating at Tehran, Iran but rather into the heart of Israel and beyond.

Another pertinent prophecy concerning mass numbers of army from state actors is also found in the last book of the Holy Bible.

Revelations 9:16: And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

When we read about this 200 million strong army involved in the end-times event and wonder how this could be possible, fret no more.

This mass movement of people has been going on in China for a long time once every year during the Lunar New Year. Hundreds of millions traversed the country to celebrate the New Year with their loved ones.

China Spring Migration

The Largest Human Migration in the World

So it is not inconceivable that 200 million men will be assembled in the last days in the Middle East though it might look quite far fetch decades ago where it took months to assemble an army of just 156,000 Allied Army together with a greater number of supporting troops for the Normandy invasion of Europe.

While it is tragic for those living in the war torn countries in the Middle East where death and suffering are being unleashed on them, it is exciting times for Bible believers to know the Lord’s coming is right on schedule according the prophetic calendar scripted in the Holy Bible.

Luke 21:28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

President Ronald Reagan Believed The King James Bible

While the Devil is busy attacking the King James Bible with his false teachers and Christians are confused by their equally confused and brainwashed leaders, the Lord raised up some one in high places to believe His written words.

Unlike the almost conversion response by king Agrippa, former President Ronald Reagan believed the Holy Bible.

Acts 26:27: King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
Acts 26:28: Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Listen to what the former President Ronald Reagan had to say about the King James Bible.

Ronald Reagan on the King James Bible

He couldn’t have said it better, especially as a man in the highest office in the greatest nation on earth. The USA used to be great but not anymore.

Proverb 21:1: The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Proverbs 8:15: By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
